Free range whole heritage toms at approximately 14 to 22 lbs or hens at 7 to 13 lbs. Fresh never frozen $9/lb. Processed the Monday of Thanksgiving at a fully inspected facility and available for pickup Tuesday evening or Wednesday during the day.
Why buy heritage breed? Turkeys you find in stores and most farms are broad breasted—meaning they have been selectively bred for many years to produce huge breasts in a short amount of time, rendering them unable to breed naturally. Heritage bred turkeys resemble wild turkeys in that they are slow growing and able to reproduce naturally. Heritage turkeys are known for their rich flavor and extremely dark meat. The skin is thick, leaving the meat juicy and tender.

Brockett Family Farm (previously Brockett Dairy Farm) has been in existence at the current location since 1992. The farm land has been owned and managed for multiple generations by the Brockett family. It was most notably known as the W.E. Brockett Turkey Farm in the 1970s.
